Before your visit
Come with hair about a quarter inch long, roughly a grain of rice, so the wax can grip it.
- Skip shaving and trimming in the weeks before.
- Leave retinoids and exfoliating products off your face for several days before.
- Skip tanning and sun for a few days before.
- Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin around the area.
- Tell us about anything that may affect your skin, like new medications or a recent peel or sunburn, on your intake form or at the start of your visit.
Aftercare
Be gentle with your face for the first 24 hours.
- Skip heavy makeup and strong skin products on the area.
- Avoid heat and sweat, like saunas and hard workouts, and stay out of the sun.
- Keep your hands off your skin; a light moisturizer is fine.
- Wait a few days before exfoliating.
Some redness is common and usually settles. If something doesn't feel right, get in touch.
