Your first visit
When should I arrive?
A few minutes early is plenty. If you're running late, text us as soon as you know and we'll see what we can do. See late arrivals.
Does it hurt?
Honestly, a little. Most people describe a quick sting that fades fast, and it varies from person to person and area to area. We check in as we go, and you can pause any time.
What should I wear?
Anything loose and comfortable. Breathable fabrics are kind to freshly waxed skin.
Preparing
How long should my hair be?
About a quarter inch, roughly a grain of rice. Please don't shave in the weeks before.
I use retinoids or take Accutane. Can I still wax?
Please tell us on your intake form, including anything you've used recently, and ask us if you're unsure. Some products and medications make skin more sensitive, and we may adjust your service or suggest a different date.
Can I wax while pregnant?
Yes! Tell us on your intake form, or ask us before you book, and we'll talk through your options together.
Can I book during my period?
You can! Some people find their skin feels more sensitive around then, so plan the timing in whatever way feels best to you. If you'd rather move your appointment, see the policies.
