We start with a quick chat about what you want and how you're feeling. You'll have privacy to get settled, and I'll explain each step before it happens. Check in whenever you like; we can pause at any point.

Come with hair about a quarter inch long, roughly a grain of rice. If it's longer we can trim it; if it's shorter, wax can't grip it.

• Skip shaving in the weeks before.
• Leave retinoids and exfoliating products (scrubs, acids) off the area for several days before.
• Skip tanning and sun for a few days before.
• Shower before you come and wear loose, comfortable clothing.
• Tell us about anything that may affect your skin, like pregnancy, new medications, or a recent peel or sunburn, on your intake form or at the start of your visit.

Be gentle with your skin for the first 24 to 48 hours.

• Avoid heat and sweat: hot baths and showers, saunas, hot tubs, and hard workouts.
• Skip sun, tanning, and pools.
• Wear loose, breathable clothing.
• Keep your hands off the area and skip heavily scented products; a light moisturizer is fine.
• Wait a few days before exfoliating, then gentle exfoliation helps keep skin smooth between visits.

Some redness or small bumps are common and usually settle. If something doesn't feel right, get in touch.
